Function & Working Principle

The blade is stamped from steel strip into acute points and clipped around a galvanized core wire so the sharp profile cannot be pulled straight or easily cut. The concertina (spiral) type expands into a coil with overlapping loops that close any gap; welded types form rigid mesh panels for walls and fences; straight and flat-wrap types give a discreet, low-profile line on gates and rooftops.

The blade geometry makes climbing or cutting extremely difficult, while the coil's spring tension resists flattening and the tight spacing removes hand-holds entirely. Hot-dip galvanized or PVC coating protects the steel from corrosion in outdoor and coastal conditions, and a coil can be pre-tensioned on a central torsion bar for high-wall runs where sagging must be avoided.

● Detention centres, airports, and highway or railway isolation belts.

● Installed atop walls or as standalone fences for factories and residences.

● Layered defence when combined with welded mesh or defensive-barrier walls.

Because the coil is lightweight and fast to install, it is frequently specified as a rapid upgrade to an existing perimeter fence during a security review, closing climbable gaps without reconstructing the line.
